Call for Abstracts for DFNE 2021,the third International Conference on Discrete Fracture Network Engineering organised in conjunction with ARMA 2021. Deadline extended 15.01.2021

ASC is collaborating in the organisation of the session on Seismic Risk and Induced Seismicity.  Abstracts can be submitted online until the 15th of January 2021 through the conference portal https://www.dfne2021.org/ .

The topics of the session are:

DFN Modelling of Induced Seismicity

Risk Evaluation by the DFN Approach

Effective Stress Evolution in Fractured Rocks

Role of Faults and Natural Fractures in Seismic Risk

Case Studies  

This conference provides an opportunity for a searchable peer-reviewed publication, and a public presentation with colleagues from our field.

Abstracts in English, 250-500 words are due December 28, 2020, and can be submitted via the ARMA Abstract Submission Portal.

Abstracts should include a brief description of work performed, results, and significance. Figures may be included to explain the abstract. All abstracts and accepted papers will be peer-reviewed by experts in the respective subject areas through an online process.

  • Papers reviewed and feedback by: March 19, 2021
  • Final Papers due by: April 16, 2021
  • Conference June 23-25, 2021

 

Please note that if necessary due to COVID considerations, the conference will be re-scheduled to October, 2020
